📖 Introduction

Zhejiang Normal University (ZJNU) was established in 1956, consisting of 3 campuses and its main campus is located in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. Zhejiang Normal University was established in 1956 as Hangzhou Teachers Associate College. In 1962 the college merged with Zhejiang Education College to become Zhejiang Teachers College. In 1985 it was renamed Zhejiang Normal University.

Academically the university is organised into 18 colleges, which include economics and management, law and political science, physical education and health sciences, and fine arts among others. Each college offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Students can choose to study in either Chinese or English.

The student body consists of 850 international students, which creates a global community. The university has developed partnerships with over 40 higher education institutions around the world. As a result, students can study abroad for a semester or an entire academic year as part of the university’s academic exchange program.

Research is an important part of the university’s activity and can be carried out at its various research centers. These include the Research Centre for Light-Emitting Diodes, the Institute of International and Comparative Education, and the Tin Ka Ping Institute of Educational Research.

Its 19 colleges offer 72 undergraduate programs, 28 master’s programs on Level-I subjects, 13 professional master’s programs, 8 doctoral programs on Level-I Subjects, and 1 professional doctoral program. It has 2,600+ faculty members and 50,000 students (including 27,000+ undergraduates, 6,000+ postgraduates, and 3600+ international students). ZJNU has established global partnerships with more than 280 educational institutions around the world.

The university is located in Jinhua, a city in Zhejiang Province in eastern China. Home to about 5.5 million people, Jinhua is the fourth largest metropolis in Zhejiang. The city has a wealth of culture and history and is home to King Shiwang’s Residence of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, showcasing some of the finest Chinese architecture. Nearby are the Shuanglong Caves, Shuanglong meaning "double dragon" about the stalactites, which resemble dragon heads.

The rooms of international students’ dormitory are equipped with furniture, air conditioning, bathrooms etc. Kitchens with refrigerators, microwave ovens and electromagnetic ovens are equipped on every floor. The laundry room is configured with an intelligent system.

The minimum age is 18 and the maximum age is 65.

You don’t need to have studied Chinese before.

Minimum education level: High School.

4. Copy of your notarized highest diploma (Prospective students must submit official proof of student status by their current school. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations. Please take the original copy of your current highest diploma with you for registration.)

5. Copy of your final academic transcripts (Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.)
